Brandon Sanderson’s Secret by rigathi

As much as I adore Mr. Rothfuss and like Mr Martin PLEASE DON’T SEND ANY OF THESE TO JIM BUTCHER

((OOC: I don’t have any experience with Rothfuss, but I’m pretty sure that Martin doesn’t really have any writing speed to steal.))

// Rothfuss isn’t a very fast writer but his prose is so amazing - and his books ginormous- that it is worth the wait. I’m getting bored waiting for ASOIAF though, hell, I can hardly wait 18 months for the next TDF.Fuck waiting gimme all the books now!

((Seriously, Sanderson is a fucking machine. In the time it took Martin to write ADWD, Sanderson wrote 12 books, including two of the last three Wheel of Time books. (the last WoT book didn’t come out until 2013, after ADWD). And the WoT books and one of sanderson’s own books are all about as long as an ASOIAF book. Also, none of the rampant and depressing death, destruction, violence against women, and general “gritty realism” that Martin’s books have.))

He’s been on my read list for ages but I’m in Dresdencrack mode atm, I can’t focus on other books :/

((When you get started, you should start with Warbreaker. He has the ebook of it for free on his website, along with annotations for each chapter. (Don’t read those until you’ve finished the book though. They’re spoilery.)))

One of the best examples of artistic integrity on a corporate scale.

wow.

No matter how many times I see this, I never fail to be impressed by that last sentence.
